The small size is perfect for my hand in the shower. This sponge is great for exfoliating and you can really feel it. However, it doesn't seem to create a good lather unless I use a lot of body wash. I also ordered the medium size but it started to break apart after the first use. Happily, Marc sent me a replacement small sized Rock Island wool sponge to try.
