I went with the reviews and ordered it although most reviewers were females. I'm not sure if it's because I am male who could use it "roughly", but overall I had many sponges like this before and they lasted at lest 6-8 months, but this one died after 3. The added cream is also not that great, but for the price I paid I haven't expected more than that in terms of quality.

Hello Mike G,
That sounds about right for a yellow sea sponge. If used frequently (i.e. daily use in shower or bath), they should last about 2-4 months. The wool sea sponges are the more durable ones that last 6-9 months. We are also switching from bundling the body wash to an olive oil soap which should last a lot longer and is better quality. Hope this helps.

Loved it Left for Florida
I have not had much luck with my SeaSationals ,,,, First one fell apart , Company sent me a new one ,,,, Loved it Left for Florida , left it in a hotel.... This time I brought two.... Heres hoping.... thank you I love them

Wonderful for Guest Bathroom!
Great product! Perfect size for guest bathroom. the tray. sea shell and bath lotion that came as a bonus also great. Our guests love using it. So soft! Wonderful sponge - even better than we had hoped it would be.

Amazing the sea in my bathroom!!
Beautiful high quality sea sponge. I threw away the body wash it has toxic chemicals. I only use organic body washes now. The whole point of buying a natural sponge is to go back to nature. The sponge sea shell and holder are awesome.I checked out the website of this company and am amazed at their quality and prices. I will be getting lots of my natural bath products from them in the future.

The quality of this sponge is superb! Plenty soft and pliable when wet, it has a slight exfoliating effect. It comes with a sample of Aphrodite olive oil wash, which in combination with the sponge leaves my skin feeling nourished and exceptionally clean. I have previously used other natural sea sponges and was very impressed with how this one holds the soap, lathers up, and then easily rinses out. The sponge also comes with a bamboo airing rack, which helps with the drying out between uses. A seashell and a card listing three methods for deep cleaning the sponge to lengthen the lifetime are included. This is my favorite natural bathing sponge!
